WORKPLACE Violence | business insurance

A woman angrily confronts a seated man with a water bottle in a tense office setting.

Workplace Violence Insurance

Over 50% of all US workers do not think that their company takes adequate steps to keep them safe at work.  This has given rise to Workplace Violence Insurance, which covers employee involved incidents (level misdemeanor or higher) that take place at the insureds worksite.

  • Is Worker on Worker violence covered?  YES!
  • Is it covered if there's a Personal Relationship?   IT SURE IS!
  • What about if a Customer or Client is involved?  YOUR POLICY IS GOOD FOR THAT!
  • Does it pay if a random person causes injury with their Criminal Intent?  IT DOES!

You can't prevent an unexpected act of violence from occurring in your place of business, but on average local small employers can be covered for around $30 per month.  Protect your business reputation in the community and with your valued employees.

we'll help you with legal compliance

California (SB 553) requires almost all employers with 10 or more employees to have a written Workplace Violence Prevention Plan (WVPP), which includes maintaining a log of incidents, conducting training, and having an emergency response plan.

  • Other States with Mandates: CT, IL, MD, MN, NJ, OR, and WA, have specific, varied requirements for employer-run workplace violence prevention programs.
